The story begins with Clémence and Marcel Mutschler, owners of a farm, and Lipsheim's Cafe-Bar, "A l'Ange". When the head of the family dies, a question arises ... will we take over the farm? And why not embark on catering and offer flammekueche and small alsatian dishes? On April 4, 1976, Clémence Mutschler and her children opened the restaurant "A l'Ange". Gérard, Alfred, and Christian are busy in the kitchen of a unique establishment. Very quickly, the customers jostle every evening, from Thursday to Sunday. We must soon think of enlarging. In 1982 Reine (born Mutschler) and Yves Feger created the company "A l'Ange". They expand the menu and also open at noon… Sisters-in-law, spouses and brothers-in-law are gradually completing this family team. Some customers come from far away. Tourists, but also trade representatives want to discover the flammekueche…
But the surroundings lack accommodation ... In the village, after the last house, on the edge of the forest, a parcel of land is free... Reine and Yves built the Hotel "Les Alizés" there, which opened in 1993. Even though Fegersheim, Erstein and Geispolsheim are hosting their activity zones, success is once again there.
In 2012 the third generation is on its way. The children, Jérémy and Stéphanie, who left to forge an experience are back, with their skills… and their spouses Oriane and Frédéric, driven by the same passion.
In 2013, they enlarged the Wellness area of the Hotel "Les Alizés" which now offers an indoor swimming pool, a spa, a sauna, a hammam ... A weekend offer is taking shape with the restaurant “Le chalet de l’Hôtel” created by Oriane and Jérémy. For the decor, mountain atmosphere and design, for the cuisine, regional cooking and daring dishes. A card that looks like a travel diary.
Today, the family oversees three establishments where some 40 people now work. In the restaurant "A l'Ange", in the Hotel "Les Alizés", and in the "Chalet de l´Hôtel", you will find the same tradition of hospitality and passion that has remained intact over the years. The story is not finished: it is just beginning ... the 3rd generation is also full of projects. But…. Hush!
